'These are my breasts, hear them roar': Mom who has been accused of trying to 'steal' men by nursing in public fires back by sharing nude photos of herself breastfeeding her two-year-old

A mother who has been accused of trying to 'steal' other women's men by breastfeeding in public has shared nude photos of herself nursing her two-and-a-half-year-old child in defiance of her critics.
Reka Nyari, a 39-year-old photographer living in New York, revealed she was on a flight from New York City to Budapest with her 34-month-old daughter, Ilo, when the woman sitting in front of them degraded her for breastfeeding her little girl.
'She called me "disgusting" followed by a litany of degrading swear words,' Reke recalled. 'Apparently she thought I was trying to steal her man by quietly breastfeeding my baby during the landing of the plane.'

The Weather Channel "It's Amazing Out There" Photo Contest

Syosset, NY resident, Greg Gulbransen, has been selected as the grand prize winner of the 2016 The Weather Channel “It’s Amazing Photo Contest.” His photo of a polar bear in the frozen Hudson Bay in Manitoba, Canada, titled “Fire on Ice”, has secured him the top spot in the contest with a prize of $15,000. For more of Gulbransen's photography, follow him on Instagram.
Gulbransen spent four years saving and planning for a photography trip to Manitoba, Canada where he captured this year's grand prize winning photo. In November, the Hudson Bay freezes and, if you time it just right, you can watch as the polar bears migrate onto the frozen waters.

Reka Nyari’s photography does not shy away from boldly portraying sexuality, gender and self-image, and uses herself as a subject with fierce confidence.

Pediatrician and photographer Greg Gulbransen, who met Reka through a mutual friend, stylist Cythia Altoriso, is a strong advocate of breastfeeding, and has been creating a photographic series on breastfeeding.

The results of this unique collaboration is a fashion story, which may test the comfort level of some, but is bound to be celebrated by many more. Reka is photographed with her handsome husband Ian Brewer, and their beautiful 4 year old daughter.

Born in Rome, Giovanna is the US & UN Correspondent for Italy’s second largest news channel, SKY TG24. Since 2009 she traveled the continent covering many important European events, from the Greek economic crisis, to the refugee crisis and the terrorist attacks in Paris for which she has written a book.

Bronx kids stay out of trouble by building shelters for homeless

Dozens of young city bicyclists — many of them still in grade school — have banded together to fight homelessness. One group of kids is constructing a tiny house for a Bronx vagrant whom they have befriended. They spend their weekends building the 4-by-8-foot shelter with rented power tools, using two-by-fours and steel braces. They’re installing flooring, a door and windows.

My friend Barron did a new fashion shoot with Cynthia Altoriso and Greg Gulbransen for an art editorial. The past year Barron has focused on realizing himself as both a muse and an artist in the realms of directing, acting, and modeling. Knowing of Barron’s interest in modeling and acting, Cynthia styled produced a shoot to showcase Barron in a series of portraits. Surveying a small sample of his work, last summer Barron posed for rising star Bianca Gerasia’s art brand “The Glass Camera” along with No Name Saint. Last May his film Three Deaths (directed by Skye Peters) won the official selection for the IFS Film Festival in LA; and past New York Fashion week he walked for designer Hakan Akkaya as a premier model. I asked for a short interview to include with his photos, here’s what we talked about…

With such bold outfit choices, accessories had to be just as unique and inspiring without overpowering the look.

Erosion at New York's Hart Island graveyard unearths human bones

Hart Island, a massive burial ground near the Bronx borough of New York City, is eroding, unearthing human bones along the shoreline, CBS New York station WCBS-TV reports. Advocates said the city hasn't done anything – until now.
"Skeletal remains are literally just coming out of the earth," Melinda Hunt of the Hart Island Project told WCBS.

NYC officials plan urgent bone recovery at Hart Island

Faced with storm erosion on Hart Island that continues to unearth human remains, New York City officials this week are planning an urgent recovery of bones from its shores, saying they also want to accelerate repairs to the island’s sea wall damaged by superstorm Sandy.
Jason Kersten, a spokesman for the city’s Department of Correction — which has control of the island and uses prisoners to bury bodies — acknowledged in a statement last Wednesday that erosion can mean a risk of exposure.
